some recent shots

many hats doesn’t accurately define what life has been as of late. more like i have about 10 pairs of completely different shoes, that all fit differently – but fit. I can walk in them all, some more comfortable than others – but I don’t walk like I’m impaired. Here are some visual aids. enjoy! Baby Cora Jean and the sdcc golf tournament that bought our uniforms! Praise God!

you most likely pay for what you get. yes, that may not be true for items found at macy’s…because you could probably find something comperable at walmart or target. but for moving cross country, i am willing to bet MUCH money, that it is true. a few things to beware of if you plan on moving across country…or anything outside of driving your own uhaul.

  1. do not take for granted the blessing of customer service that can speak your language.
  2. before they come, request a copy of everything that you’ll be signing because they won’t have them on them.
  3. question everything that is “provided” on the estimate. EVERYTHING. because you may come to find that the boxes they promised are only for “local” customers. (chicago to indy isn’t local)
  4. grill them on pick up to departure time frames/delivery time frames/gratuity costs. because they most likely will not document that on their website.
  5. if they demand cash on delivery for the final payment… steer clear.
  6. if you have a time frame that you need your things by… look for a company that guarantees delivery factored into the price.
  7. somethings you just have to learn on your own…

praise God i don’t need my things immediately.. now to work on the whole, getting a license scene. you can’t do anything in CA without a license.. get a job..drive a car..get car insurance..open a bank account….

ah, california…

where i belong

January 27, 2009

Your presence is all I am longing for, here in the secret place
Your nearness is all I am waiting for, here in the quiet place
Here in the secret place

My soul waits for You alone
Like the watchmen wait for dawn
Here I’ve finally found a place
Where we’ll meet, Lord, face to face

I’ve finally found where I belong
I’ve finally found where I belong, in Your presence
I’ve finally found where I belong, it’s to be with You, to be with You

I am my Beloved’s and He is mine
So come into Your garden and take delight in me, take delight in me

Delight in me, delight in me
Delight in me, delight in me

Here in Your presence, God, I find my rest
Here in Your presence, God     // where i belong, matt gilman| cory asbury

there’s something to say for landing in a place and just knowing you’re smack-dab in His will. at that point in time, a unremoveable smile paints itself on your face. the flight was good – it goes quick when this older flight attendant guy  talks to you 3 hours out of the 4.5 hour flight… sleep occupies the rest. dinner = grand… but telling what God’s done in the short 2 weeks of notice, is better. ima post a few dbpv pics – (my photoshop finally started working..) since there the last ones ill ever post. :(

that change i mentioned

January 13, 2009

so maybe i didn’t mention a change… but now i am. there’s a big change on the horizon. and when i mean big i mean like big. it will make a few happy, make a few cry, leave a few stuned, and increase the usage of cell minutes.

Best thing is… God has both my hands like a little kid learning to walk..and He’s a pretty good Daddy.

stay tuned.

The first time since August I’ve set foot in the place was at one time referred to as my second home… Starbucks. Lately it’s been Panera.. so I’ve smelled like a giant loaf of bread. I’ll take the coffee.. No, that picture isn’t the BR Starbucks.. That’s from Franklin, TN, home of Meow. It’s warm in here. I walked from my apartment and my face near froze off. Basically insta-tan.. aka wind burn..

I miss traveling. Never realized how much we traveled during soccer. The opportunity was there. Now I almost feel confined because I can’t go places by myself really… that whole “danger” factor. If people would just behave and not be dumb, it would make life alot more exciting.

I want to just walk places, hike, whatever and just shoot. Not a gun..people who aren’t around the photo slang.. shoot is another word for “take photos”. But how cool would you sound if you walked around saying “take photos” as a professional photographer.. NOT very. I’m either gonna “shoot” or.. nothing lol. So feel free to pick up that word for “taking pictures” if you want to be cool. hah. Speaking of cool, thats where my next point comes in. My brother.

picture-1334This is my brother, Mark. He is a stud. Girls, I’ll warn you now… decide before hand if you want to deal with his sister (yes, that would be me). I don’t bite…all the time.

“Why you gotta be all up in his business?” you ask… I’m the older sister.. he’s my baby brother (that’s half a foot taller than me..) and because BECAUSE. lol. Nah, I’m not all up in his biz – but you will be meeting meeee hahaha Ah markie.

the life of being a stud.

Then, there’s my family.. :) I have a song to go along with that. Obviously the meaning of this song is about God ha, but I would go to say that this applies to my dad here too. The older I get, the more I realize how right he’s been this whole time. Especially in the places where I SO DESPERATELY wanted him to be wrong. Both he and my mom. That’s how it goes tho I guess doesn’t it

I don’t have the cool capability like joshua to inset songs to my space here. so click. ha

not much more left. my coffee’s cold.

dag.
